We at Capture 1 are specialists in creating digital content, video, filming, post-production and presentations. Whether it’s event filming, promotional video, social media content, presentation slides, animation, infographics, training film production and audio we have been creating media content that achieve results for our clients for over 22 years and so we know a thing or two about what works!! Our clients really benefit from our vast experience and expertise and the length of time we have been working with clients is testimony to the experience we provide.
We don’t just provide production skills and expertise; we include consultancy for you. What this means is that we help you with your messages first and foremost, as you need clear and concise messages for success.
This is what we excel at – however complicated your messages, products or business is we can make it simple, clear and have impact!
This may involve creating scripts, filming, designing and creating artwork.
Post-production including video editing, audio, animation, effects and graphics are all carefully crafted to suit the project objectives, rather than style over content.
Presentation work includes advice on structure and narrative as well as design and build, slide design and build in Powerpoint or Prezi.
Whether your audience consists of 1, 100, 1000 or a million; we will help you to get your media out there and have impact on your target audience; on your website, social media, YouTube, for a pitch presentation, training event or to display at a conference or event.
If you need help with the management of your event, including running the AV production, coaching and helping speakers, preparing slides and ensuring the smooth running of the technical side of your event then our team can help with that.
Capture 1 a potted history
Capture 1 was formed in 2000 by Brett Nurse and Helen Chamberlain (now Helen Nurse)
We were both working in broadcast television at the time and wanted to bring our love of programme making to the business world, enabling organisations across both the public and private sector to better communicate their messages to more people and bring a new and fresh approach to the traditional world of corporate video production.
The business has gone from strength to strength and now in our 22nd year of business we are proud of the thousands of projects, working in wide ranging sectors; from retail to healthcare, education, highways and construction and the charitable sector.
We love meeting so many different people from all walks of life; different businesses and organisations helping people in so many ways. It is a privilege doing what we do because we get an insight into so much of the world!

We excel when helping organisations to share messages, ideas and concepts, helping them to inspire clients, prospects, staff and stakeholders. Our experience working in theatre and TV also means we can successfully help clients with presentation skills, delivery and events co-ordination – all the world is a stage in Capture 1’s world!
Every day and every client is different and interesting and that is what we love! In 2005 there was a Capture 1 wedding, and there are now three Capture 1 offspring as well as a sister company, Wonder Adventures which works in the children’s event and digital experience sector. We always try to involve the youngest members of the team and have fun whilst we work!
We have moved offices over the years from Cheadle in Manchester to Carrington, Grappenhall and now we are based in leafy Lymm, Cheshire! However, we work all over the country (and world!).

In the media industry, people are critical to get good results. At Capture 1 we are fortunate to have built excellent relationships over the last 20+years in business and have strong and established relationships with staff, suppliers and partners that can benefit our clients.
We have facilities and skills in-house to allow us to provide best price and service results for you. We also have a network of experienced, professional and highly skilled supply chain partners with whom we have long working relationships with and thus are able to negotiate favourable rates. These include actors and presenters, designers, voiceover artists, animation and music composition.
Meet the Directors...
I set up Capture 1 DVP Ltd with Brett Nurse in 2000, following media training at Salford University and working subsequently in the broadcast television industry.Since the business formation, it has gone from strength to strength, employing staff and producing videos and media presentations for hundreds of clients in the private and public sectors.I spent a great deal of time in the early business years producing video projects and working closely with clients on idea conception, script writing and on-location producing as well as managing the post-production elements of projects. As the business grew and developed I took on an increasing role of new business development and sales. Through this period I developed a real interest in marketing and business development activities. I was part of the postgraduate programme at The University of Salford Masters of Enterprise course and I also successfully completed the prestigious ‘Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses Business Growth Programme in 2015.
My role is now predominantly in the new business, sales and marketing role, although I also undertake an overall client management position on certain projects.
I am passionate about learning new skills and personal development and have undertaken many training courses and personal development programmes.
I have written 3 children’s books in the last 5 years and now also run a second business Wonder Adventures; which is a children’s event and entertainment company, producing interactive treasure trails, digital experiences, play products and educational resources. I am passionate about inspiring imaginative play in children.
On a personal level I love spending time with my kids, travelling, reading, walking and anything that involves fun!
Along with being co-founder of Capture 1, I am a communications specialist and consultant for clients.
I trained and spent my early days in media with Granada TV and BBC which provided a great foundation for producing solid, quality work . Over the past 22 years I have helped numerous organisations plan, create, produce and deliver better presentations. My expertise is in using video and media to create presentations that get messages across to a target audience and get results!
I am highly skilled in scripting key messages and helping clients to clearly convey complicated information. I can work help anyone, in any organisation get their messages across clearly, concisely and effectively! I have had a lot of success in helping companies to win pitches, bids and tenders. I am also an experienced trainer and facilitator, including communication skills, content and scripting, media training and presentation skills.
I co-run Wonder Adventures managing all the production elements of the events and products we produce. I also love to perform and work with children. My specialist interest area is Dinosaurs and I have an alter ego in Ranger Ron! Ask me anything about a Spinosaurus or T-Rex and ROARing to go!!
